It's just as well, then, that I find your opinion about pretty much anything to be completely irrelevant.
I found Ed to be quite the opposite. He's a good reader (which is the #1 quality any $otC host should have), and he drives a hard bargain during the Gift Shop segments: in the second show, he's trying to get a guy to buy a digital SLR camera, and the guy's not biting...the cash bribe skyrocketed to two grand before Ed finally gave up.
And Livinia is a _little_ more than eye candy...she participates in the contestant interviews at the top of the show, but yes, her main function is to look nice presenting the Gift Shop and shopping segments, and she does those just fine.
The whole show just leaves you with that "Wow. It IS possible to do it right." feeling.

Well, we would have to have a sourpuss on here to ruin things for the rest of us. I'm glad Chris got his DVD. I'd love to see more of the show myself. I said "WOW" when I first saw it back in the 80s in the US, and I said the same thing when I took a look at the snippets of Temptation that are available online. I really do hope it comes back to America, and to hell with the sourpuss' opinion.
